• New York Yankees 4, Detroit Tigers 3: Yankees’ pitcher Max Fried outdueled his high school teammate Jack Flaherty, throwing seven strong innings to help New York snap the Tigers’ five-game winning streak. 

• Texas Rangers 6, Chicago Cubs 2: Despite the Cubs winning the series 2-1, they fell to the Rangers in the final game. Shōta Imanaga struggled in the fifth inning, giving up four runs, including homers to Jonah Heim and Marcus Semien. Tyler Mahle dominated the Cubs over seven innings, allowing just two hits and a walk. 

• Los Angeles Dodgers 6, Washington Nationals 5: The Dodgers secured a narrow victory at Nationals Park. Despite an early stumble by starting pitcher Landon Knack, who gave up five runs, the Dodgers’ bullpen performed flawlessly for the remainder of the game, allowing no further runs and facilitating a comeback.

• Toronto Blue Jays 2, Boston Red Sox 1: The Blue Jays edged out the Red Sox in a closely contested game.

• Seattle Mariners 7, Houston Astros 6: J-Rod and Arozarena lifted Seattle to a walk-off win against the Astros. 

• San Francisco Giants 8, Cincinnati Reds 6: Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th inning to win the game for the Giants.
